Fraunhofer Institute
DETAILS
The TZA building of the Fraunhofer Institute at the Darmstadt location has been newly enveloped in a continuous metal shell. The clear, technically shaped architecture received a precise and at the same time representative materiality through the complete encasement.
ZinCuTec realized the complete facade cladding in brass Dibond panels. The large elements were precisely tailored to the building structure and create a calm, homogeneous surface with clear lines. Through finely tuned surface treatment, the brass received a controlled, warm tonality, giving the technological character of the institute a valuable, architectural depth.
The precise processing and assembly of the composite panels ensures a uniform material effect across the entire building envelope. This creates a facade that combines technical functionality with design clarity, giving the research location a distinct, striking identity.
