Ministère d’Etat

Ministère d’État

DETAILS

At the headquarters of the Ministère d’État, selected interior areas were reinterpreted as part of a comprehensive modernization. Positioned between classical palace architecture and its representative state function, a precise metal architecture with a clear design stance was created.

ZinCuTec executed the interior elevators as well as large-scale wall claddings in burnished brass. The surface was deliberately modified to preserve the dignified character of the building while introducing a contemporary depth of material. The burnishing process was carefully calibrated to achieve a calm, warm tonality that integrates naturally into the historic surroundings.

Through the use of solid brass and finely graduated color tones, deliberate contrasts were precisely articulated—partly inspired by the national coat of arms. ZinCuTec’s meticulous surface treatment contributes significantly to the representative atmosphere of the interiors, uniting historical identity with craftsmanship and precision in a cohesive material expression.
